Dr. Jiney Caines received her Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University in

Anatomy and Cell Biology, and later completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at

SUNY College of Optometry in New York City. During her studies, she participated in

many volunteer and community outreach programs, including vision screenings at

NYC public schools, the Special Olympics, as well as a mission trip to Haiti.

Upon completion, she returned to Canada and has been practicing optometry in the

Greater Toronto Area. In addition to family primary eye care, Dr. Caines’ clinical

experience includes specialty contact lens fittings, post-cataract surgery care, and

dry eye disease management. Dr. Caines has successfully passed the US National

Board Exam, Canadian National Board Exam, and is TPA certified to

treat and manage ocular disease.

Outside of work, Dr. Caines enjoys pilates, cooking, traveling, and new culinary

adventures.
